Question by : 2012 tax delay?! File date 2/2?
I filed my tax return through a tax professional using efile on February 1st at 7pm. It was accepted that night, technically It would be February 2nd. They told my mom and I, she would get duct deposit on February 15th which she did and I’d get mine mailed out February 17th. Around the 8th I checked where’s my refund. It said “your return is processing, if they are no processing delays you will receive your return no later than February 21st.” I checked the website yesterday the 20th. It now says ” your check will be mailed February 27th and contact us if you don’t receive it by march 26th, until the no further action can be taken” that would be two months after I filed, well almost. I’m really mad because I have bills and my daughters birthday depending on this money. Now I have to borrow money until then. I called the IRS but she was no help. Se just stated what the site says. But also told me there is a huge delay of returns from January 26th until February 8th that are going out. I need experience and advice. Is this like your situation? Should I trust the site or keep hoping it will come. A lot of people say the site told them later than when they received it. That’s what I’m hoping =\
